How to install a pneumatic grease pump (Light Line 11 and 12)?
- Unlock the clamps or the quick-lock ring;
- Remove the lid and the grease follower plate (if included in the purchased model);
- Fill the container with grease and press the follower plate onto it;
- Install the pump onto the container (according to the purchased model) and secure the lid (tighten the clamps or quick-lock ring to fix the lid);
- Connect the compressed air line, regulated at 80 PSI;
- Point the grease valve toward an empty container and pull the trigger to purge the air inside the system and allow the pump to start suctioning grease from the container.
Notes: When compressed air is connected to the pump, it will operate until the line is completely filled with product. Once the line pressure balances with the air pressure, the pump will stop automatically and will only run again when the grease valve is opened.
How to install a pneumatic oil pump (Light Line 11 and 12)
- Unlock the clamps and remove the container lid (if included in the purchased model);
- Pour the oil into the container, install the pump on a 50 or 200-liter drum (according to the model), reinstall and secure the lid;
- Connect compressed air regulated at 80 PSI;
- Point the oil control valve toward an empty container and pull the trigger to purge the internal air so the pump can begin suctioning oil.
Notes: When compressed air is connected, the pump will run until the tubing fills with product. After pressure stabilizes, it stops automatically and restarts only when the oil valve is opened.
How to install a pneumatic grease pump (Heavy Line 13 and 14)
- Remove the drum lid, place grease inside, and close the drum;
- Install the pump on a 50 or 200 kg drum (depending on the model purchased);
- Connect compressed air to the Lubrifil unit, regulated at 80 PSI, and pull the trigger on the grease control valve.
Notes:
If the installation does not include a Lubrifil, regulate air pressure to 80 PSI and lubricate the pump daily through the oiler:
Remove the oiler screw, add a few drops of SAE 30 oil, and reinstall the screw.
How to install a pneumatic oil pump (Heavy Line 13 and 14)
- Remove the drum lid, fill it with oil, and close the drum;
- Install the pump on a 50 or 200-liter drum (depending on the model);
- Connect compressed air to the Lubrifil unit, regulated at 80 PSI, and pull the trigger on the oil control valve.
Notes:
If the installation does not include a Lubrifil, regulate air pressure to 80 PSI and lubricate daily through the oiler (add SAE 30 oil as instructed above).
Pump is running but not dispensing grease or oil — what to do?
There may be air trapped inside the equipment.
- With compressed air turned off, partially disconnect the hose from the pump and activate the system;
- When grease or oil appears at the connection, turn off the air and reconnect the hose. The air will have been purged.
For oil pumps with digital meters:
- Temporarily unscrew the anti-drip nozzle from the meter outlet;
- Pull the trigger for a few seconds until air is expelled and fluid begins to flow;
- When flow becomes continuous, reinstall the nozzle;
- Test again — the pump should now operate normally.
Notes: Perform all steps depressurized. Use a container to catch any discharged grease or oil.
If issues persist, contact Bozza technical support.
Pump installed but not working — possible cause
Check whether the Pressure Regulator / Lubrifil is connected in the correct airflow direction (arrow indicates air direction). Verify the pressure setting (80–100 PSI).
How to assemble a manual grease pump (Models 8522/8020/8620/8022/8622)
- Unlock the clamps or retaining ring;
- Remove the lid and follower plate assembly;
- Add grease to the container, press the assembly down, and close the container, locking the clamps or ring;
- Install the handle (see manual if needed) and start operation;
- Move the handle up and down to begin grease flow.
Notes:
If grease flow stops, remove the follower assembly and check the grease level.
How to assemble and install a manual oil pump (Models 8021/8031/8631/8032/8632/8033)
ASSEMBLY
- Attach the handle with the proper screws (if supplied disassembled);
- Insert the hose, nozzle, and fitting into the oil outlet and tighten.
OPERATION
- Unlock clamps or fastening ring;
- Remove the lid;
- Fill the container with oil;
- Replace the lid and secure it;
- Step on the foot support pedal;
- Operate the handle up and down — or turn the crank (rack-type pumps) — until oil begins flowing.
Manual pump assembled but no flow — what to do?
Air is trapped in the system.
- Partially disconnect the hose and pump the lever until grease or oil begins to flow;
- Reconnect the hose — the system is ready.
How to assemble manual pump model 7801-M
- Screw the three-part suction tube into the pump body inlet;
- Tighten firmly to avoid air leaks (apply thread seal tape to all tube threads);
- Screw the drum-mounting nut into the drum opening;
- Slide the pump and suction tube assembly into the drum;
- Turn the handle clockwise. Ensure the drum has an air outlet for proper operation;
- Important: Do not use this pump with acids, chemicals, solvents, thinner, gasoline, or water — this will damage seals and gaskets.
Transfer pump model 7022-T-G2 installed but not working — what to do?
Air may be trapped.
- Invert the curved spout so it points upward;
- Pour oil directly into the spout to fill the system;
- Move the lever until oil circulates and air is expelled;
- Continue until stable flow is achieved;
- Return the spout to its correct position.
Use this procedure whenever oil does not flow, after drum changes, or during first use.
Missing material
Claims accepted only within:
- South, Southeast, Midwest regions: up to 45 days;
- Other regions: up to 55 days.
After these periods, missing-material claims cannot be processed.
Important Recommendations
- Use only high-quality grease or oil and avoid contamination by debris, cloths, etc.;
- Keep compressed air lines dry and clean;
- Maintain at least 16 cm of fluid inside the container;
- Install a ¼” Lubrifil before the pump air inlet to remove impurities and ensure lubrication;
- Drain the air compressor daily;
- Disconnect compressed air whenever the pump is not in use;
- For electric equipment, follow the duty cycle recommendations to avoid overheating and damage.
